22 December 2022, SALT LAKE CITY (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Professor Mina Teicher has been elect to the board of directors of omniQ Corp. (OMQS), a supplier of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology solutions for Supply Chain Automation, Parking, Security, and self-service Kiosks.

Since 1999, Professor Mina Teicher has served as the German “Emmy Noether Research Institute for Mathematics” director at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. She is a well-known mathematician and the chair of Bar-Ilan University’s largest brain research division. She is a co-founder of the UNESCO Digital Campus for Complex Systems, a member of the USA President‘s think tank on the ethics of brain-machine interfaces, a member of the European Mathematical Society’s Executive Committee, and a member of the evaluation committees for the presti

gious research institutions in Germany, Italy, Korea, and Japan.

Ms. Mina has also held some executive positions in academia and science, including head scientist for the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology and board chair for the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation.

With nearly 50 years of experience embracing mathematics and technologies, Mina adds a lot of expertise and experience to the board of Omniq, according to CEO Shai Lustgarten. Her expertise in computer vision, cyber security, and complex social systems, as well as her participation in international committees encouraging R&D and the application of artificial intelligence to machine learning, computer vision, and cyber technology, make her a useful addition. She has also dedicated a lot of time to numerous boards with expertise in e-learning, blockchain, machine vision, precision medicine, and other fields that will all progress the expansion strategies of our company. 

We are also encouraged by Mina’s commitment to expanding women’s participation in mathematics globally as the previous vice president of the International Women’s Forum (IWF).
