Anyone can quickly access the information they need on a dashboard, then drill down to specific numbers if needed. There are various pricing options available depending on your budget, from free basic accounts to enterprise plans with multiple users that include additional features. One of my favorite things about Looker is how user friendly it is, as there are no complicated coding or technical skills required when working with their platform. It’s important to note that Looker works best with Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres and MySQL databases. If you’re using another type of database, such as Oracle or SQL Server, you might want to consider BigQuery by Google instead. BigQuery offers similar capabilities without requiring any complex integration steps. It also works well with other popular BI tools such as Tableau and QlikView.
What are some key features of looker?
Looker has a ton of great features, but I’d say one of its biggest advantages is how easy it is to use. Here are a few helpful tips and tricks to help you master Looker in no time:
1. Add an index on any column you’ll query regularly.
2. Set up a project library so you can keep your files organized.
3. Try connecting Looker to other data sources like Salesforce, Google Analytics, or S3 buckets (using LookML).

What do you need to know before installing/creating your account?
Installing Looker is a simple process. Once your account has been created, you’ll be able to log in with your email address and password. You should make sure that these are memorable; if you lose access to them, you’ll have to request a new password. In some cases, Looker’s system can auto-generate an email for you based on things like your name or organization name. Make sure that any new password is secure—and easy for you to remember! You also don’t want to share access with other people who may be using it from different locations or at different times of day; ensure that each person has their own login information so there’s no confusion about usage.
Common login issues
Looker has a strong connection with Amazon Redshift, but it can also be used to connect to Snowflake data warehouses. When you are setting up Looker, there is an option to enter your login information for each data warehouse. Make sure you are entering your credentials for the correct data warehouse – otherwise, you might run into issues later down the line! There are some known bugs for different setups depending on what kind of connection you want with your data warehouse. If after logging in with Looker, you don’t see all of your data or receive an error, make sure. That all of your logins are correct by testing them out on each individual database/warehouse.
