Each visa center has a clear division of jurisdiction. Travelers must confirm their jurisdiction before going to the visa center for visas. The Indian visa application online is issued to people whose sole purpose is to travel to India for tourism, leisure, sightseeing, and informal visits to relatives and friends.

Materials required for visa application
- The visa application form must be completed online at the Visa Application Center website, and signed after printing;

Visa application process
After the applicant has clarified the purpose of going to India and the itinerary plan, he can prepare relevant materials for applying for a visa
Step 1. Confirm the itinerary to India
Confirm the date to go to India, make round-trip air tickets and accommodation reservations.
Step 2. Confirm the application center where the consular district is located according to the place of household registration
Since the Indian Visa Centers in China are divided into Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, each visa center has a clear division of jurisdiction. Travelers must confirm their jurisdiction before going to the visa center for visas.
India’s Beijing Visa Center Territory: Anhui, Gansu, Guizhou, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Henan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Qinghai, Shanxi, Shandong, Shaanxi, Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Tibet, Xinjiang.
The consular area of the Shanghai Visa Center of India: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu.
The consular district of the Guangzhou Visa Center of India: Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hunan, Sichuan and Yunnan.
Travelers can also go to the Indian Consulate General in Hong Kong to apply for a visa, there is no consular area restriction.
Step 3. Complete the application form online
The Indian Embassy in China stipulates that any type of visa application must first go to the Indian Visa Online System and click “Online Visa Application Registration” to fill in the application form.
Step 4. Print the form, post photos and sign
After the online application is completed, the application number will be automatically generated. Please save the form and print it out, sign it and paste the photo of the applicant. The ID photo requires a 2×2 inch (51X51mm) white background color photo.
Step 5. Prepare application materials
The materials required to apply for an ordinary Indian visa include: a
completed, signed and printed visa application form (the visa center does not provide any form);
a passport valid for more than 6 months, signed by the licensee, and at least two consecutive blank pages ;

photo;
one copy of the passport information page and one copy of the signature page; a copy of the round-trip air ticket itinerary (e-ticket is acceptable);
bank deposit certificate (10,000 yuan), at least Freeze for 3 months;
guarantee letter issued by the company/school (only for applicants working/studying in China);
copy of Chinese ID card (front and back);
specific itinerary (requires applicant to sign on it).

Before submitting the application, the applicant can conduct a final inspection according to the “India Travel Visa Material Review Checklist”.
Step 6. Go to the corresponding visa center to submit the materials
Applicants bring the corresponding application materials to the visa center of their consular district to submit, and pay the corresponding fees.
If the applicant needs another agency to handle it, the materials shall be forwarded to that agency.
Step 7. Get the visa
Visa application processing time is generally 4-5 working days from the day after the date of submission. Applicants can confirm the collection time with the visa center staff when submitting the application, and pick it up during the designated office hours.
