Another hospital provides internet for patients 
Glendale, AZ - It is much easier for patients and families to stay connected at the Thunderbird hospital in Glendale. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is now providing free Internet access throughout the hospital.
People need to communicate and to some families, friends and businesses, communication is everything when one is in the hospital. The internet is a great distraction for our high risk pregnant moms who have to stay in bed and off their feet. The internet keeps minds active. It gives patients an easy way to keep up with the outside world while in the hospital. Some hospitals simply provide free internet access, known as Wi-Fi, and is unsecured. Although some hospitals, like Thunderbird, secure their signals and provide secure internet connections. When a patient is admitted, a guest wireless network will be automatically generated with instructions for logging on. The account is deactivated when the patient leaves the hospital.
