Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Osbaldo Lopez Luna Jr., 22, of Bullhead City, late Tuesday evening for misconduct involving a weapon, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of marijuana for transport, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.

Deputies observed a maroon GMC vehicle fail to stop at a posted stop sign while the vehicle was turning from Valencia onto Highway 95.

At about 11:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Gardner Road and Frontage Road and contacted Luna, the driver.

Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies observed Luna to be extremely nervous, shaking and looking down.

A K9 unit responded and deployed his K9 named Colt to conduct a sniff of the vehicle. Colt alerted his handler to the vehicle.

A search revealed a pistol, digital scale, a jar containing marijuana, a plastic bag containing marijuana and two boxes of plastic bags.

Luna was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
