Man wanted for attempted first degree murder
Bullhead City Police are searching for Ricardo Allan Ledesma, 27, who is wanted for attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and burglary.
Early Sunday morning neighbors contacted police after a female victim, age 26, who was bleeding, came to their door with her 2-year-old son begging for help. Police and Bullhead Fire paramedics responded to the apartment complex, located in the 300 block of Sea Creek Drive, and the victim was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. She was later transported to a Las Vegas hospital for further treatment. The victim told police that her boyfriend, Ricardo Ledesma, who she has a valid order of protection against, attacked her with a knife. At about 2:30 a.m., Ledesma went to her apartment, smashed her window and was kicking and pounding on her door. According to the victim, when she opened the door he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her outside. She then ran into the apartment to protect their 2-year-old son. Ledesma told her that he was going to kill her and swung a knife toward her and their son. The victim sustained some defensive knife wounds. Their son was not injured during the attack. The victim stated she was then choked and punched in the head and stomach, where she just had surgery the day prior. Ledesma then fled the area. A felony warrant has been issued for Ledesma’s arrest for attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and burglary. If anyone has any information on Ledesma’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-9200.
