Vote for Bullhead City to win $100,000 for PetSafe dog park
If dog enthusiasts in Mohave County have their way, Bullhead City will win the grand prize of $100,000 on Aug. 3 from PetSafe to build a local dog park on an area of land donated by Bullhead City in the northwest section of Rotary Skate Park.
Bullhead City is holding strong in third place in a field of 15 finalist cities and is currently behind Huntington, WV, that is in first place and Lynchburg, VA, is in second place. According to the committee for the Bullhead City Dog Pak, there were originally 500 cities that signed up for contest and Bullhead City is the only Arizona city amongst the 15 finalists. Each of the 15 finalist cities created a short video telling everyone why their community needs a local PetSafe dog park. Interested people can go to THIS WEBSITE to view Bullhead City’s video. In order for Bullhead City to finish in the top spot and win the $100,000, they need as many supporters as possible to vote for them. The more people vote for them, the better chance they have to finish in the top spot of the competition. Each person can go to THIS WEBSITE and cast their vote. Everyone is eligible to vote once each day until the contest ends on Aug. 3. “With these days of slumping economy and unemployment rate skyrocketing,” said local animal supporter Chris Marie, “this is a golden opportunity for people to get involved and back something good instead of just complaining about everything. Vote each day until the competition is over and yes, vote for Bullhead City!” If you would like further information about the planned dog park or would like to help out as a volunteer, please contact Donna Hill at (928) 201-7622 or she can be reach via THIS EMAIL.
