Another holiday weekend with no water fatalities, one dune buggy fatality
Mohave County Sheriff's Office and Bullhead City Police Department are reporting no fatalities on the water during the Independence Day holiday weekend. Only one injury was reported by each department.
MCSO is reporting four OUI (Operating Under the Influence) citations. BHC PD reports none. There were over 100 watercraft safety violations reported. Both departments reported numerous fireworks calls, but no fires were reported. A California man died after a single vehicle off-road accident in the desert east of Lake Havasu City late Friday afternoon. The man's dune buggy fell off a 25-foot cliff. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor. The weekend was busy for law enforcement, but overall it was a good weekend.
