Students learn about not smoking on National Kick Butt Day
Fox Creek Junior High School 7th grader Glennice Nguyen writes what activity she would rather do than smoke, during “National Kick Butt Day” on Thursday.
“National Kick Butt Day” is a nationwide campaign for tobacco-free kids. McTUPP (Mohave County Tobacco Use Prevention Program), S.A.D.D. club (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and the Bullhead City Police Department asked students to pledge to be smoke-free.
Bullhead City Emergency Services Dispatcher Lorrae Viles talks to children at the Boys and Girls Club, Thursday afternoon, about what to do if they are ever lost. Viles educated the kids on the importance of memorizing their address, telephone number and parent contact information.
