Couple arrested when narcotic search warrant finds meth, marijuana
A narcotics search warrant resulted in the arrest of two Bullhead City residents for drug possession and sales.
On Wednesday at about 6:30 a.m., MAGNET (Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team) executed a search warrant into a home located in the 1900 block of El Monte Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona. Police found a total of approximately 35 grams of methamphetamine, which is approximately four times the threshold amount of possessing dangerous drugs and seized 74 grams of marijuana. Detectives found numerous drug paraphernalia items, including bongs, scales with meth residue, and packaging material typically used in drug sales. Angel Felix, 42, and his wife Dora Alicia Felix,45, were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of dangerous drugs for sale in a drug free school zone. Felix’ residence shares a fence line with a public school. A drug free school zone is an area within 300 feet of a school or its accompanying grounds. The offense of selling dangerous drugs within a drug free school zone is the same class of felony as if the crime of selling drugs had not occurred in a school zone (a class 2 felony), but imposes stiffer sentencing and additional fines Angel and Dora Felix were booked into the Mohave County Jail, Kingman.
