Theft of fittings from employer, sold as scrap
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony David Beridon, 40, of Mohave Valley, Friday afternoon for trafficking in stolen property, felony.
January 22nd, deputies responded to a theft report involving a business located in the 1500 block of Solano Place. Deputies contacted the owner who reported that one of his employees identified as Beridon had stolen 67 pounds of commercial water valves. The owner further reported that he learned that Beridon scrapped the fittings at a recycling center for cash. Further investigations revealed Beridon sold the fittings to a recycling center in Bullhead City. The fittings were confiscated. At about 3:00 p.m., deputies contacted Beridon at the business in the 1500 block of Solano Place. Beridon admitted to taking two buckets full of fittings from the shop and selling them to a recycling center. Beridon was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. Theft charges are pending the review of the Mohave County Attorney’s Office.
